Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer who has received several prizes and grants. She works with a variety of nations and organizations around the globe regarding policy and the research of children's victimization within the court system. Additionally, she provides consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society, American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as the president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
